Police located a white Ford pickup associated with the suspect and observed one man getting into it. Police attempted to prevent the vehicle from driving away but the driver fled the parking lot towards Leigh Rd, in attempt to evade police.

Police did not pursue the vehicle as it was deemed too dangerous at the time. However, the vehicle was spotted moments later, stuck on the cement median at the intersection of McCallum Rd and Leigh Rd after nearly striking a flagger working in that area.

The lone male occupant, a 27 year old man from Alberta, was arrested at the scene.

The man has been held in custody and set to appear in court on September 8th where he will be answering to charges from Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Breach of Recognizance and Fraud.
