Kitscoty RCMP arrest two after armed robbery

RCMP-1205Marwayne, Alberta – On Sept. 8, 2016, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP received a call of an armed robbery at a business in the town of Marwayne. A woman walked into the business and advised she had forgot her money for a purchase and then left. A short time later a man entered the same business with what a witness believed to be a firearm, wearing a mask and demanded money. The man left the business with an undisclosed amount of money and entered into a vehicle outside. No one was harmed.

Members with the assistance from Lloydminster RCMP set up a road block for the suspect vehicle in the area. The suspect vehicle was stopped on Highway 45 and Highway 17 near Alcurve. The suspects from the armed robbery were in the vehicle and arrested without incident.

Tyrone Patrick Hickey – a 27 year old male from Marwayne has been charged with:

• Robbery with a firearm
• Wearing a disguise with intent
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Uttering threats

Hickey was remanded into custody and will appear in Lloydminster Provincial court on Sept. 13, 2016.

Sabryna Renay Haftner-Jensen – a 26 year female from Lloydminster has been charged with:

• Robbery with a firearm

Haftner-Jensen was released with court imposed conditions and will appear in Lloydminster Provincial court on Sept. 20, 2016.

As this matter is now before the courts, there will be no further updates in relation to this investigation.
