Okotoks RCMP seeks Public Assistance in an Assault with Bear Spray

RCMP-1205Okotoks, AB – On September 9, 2016 at approximately 3:30 pm Okotoks RCMP were called to Spruce Meadows to investigate an assault involving bear spray.


Security personnel at Spruce Meadows located and approached a male acting suspicious. As they approached the suspicions male, he produced a can of bear spray and sprayed both security personnel. The spray incapacitated them long enough for the male to flee on foot. The victims were treated and released on scene by EMS.

Description of male: Caucasian, late 40s -early 50’s, 5’11” – 6′, 180-200 lbs, medium build, brown collar length hair, tanned skin, bright white teeth, wearing a tan ball cap with “Windriver” embroidered on it, blue collared shirt, navy blue jacket, blue jeans and brown leather shoes.
