Toronto shooting investigation, Six men and one girl arrested

It is alleged that:

– In the early morning of Sunday, September 11, 2016, a large party took place at a house in the Merrill Avenue East and Moberly Avenue area.

– at 2:11 a.m., a single gunshot was fired at the entrance of the house

– several people were located outside the house, attempting to flee the scene

– six men and one girl were arrested after three handguns, one pellet gun and a quantity of drugs were located.

2) Carry Concealed Weapon
3) Unauthorized possession of firearm
4) Careless Storage of Firearm
5) Careless Storage of Ammunition
6) Weapons Dangerous
7) Possession of prohibited device knowing its possession is unauthorized
8) Possess Firearm while prohibited
9) Obstruct Peace Officer

Abdul Kareem Jama, 20, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Unauthorized possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
2) Carry Concealed Weapon
3) Unauthorized possession of firearm
4) Careless Storage of Firearm
5) Careless Storage of Ammunition
6) Weapons Dangerous
7) Possession of prohibited device knowing its possession is unauthorized
8) Weapons Prohibition

Abdul Mohamud, 20, of Toronto, was charged with:

1) Unauthorized possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
2) Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Careless Storage of Firearm
4) Careless Storage of Ammunition
5) Fail To Comply with Probation
6) Tampering with Serial Number
7) Fail to Comply with Probation
8) Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
9) Possess Firearm while prohibited
10) Prowl by night

Omer Mahdi, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Unauthorized possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
2) Unauthorized possession of Firearm
3) Careless Storage of Firearm
4) Careless Storage of Ammunition
5) Fail To Comply with Probation
6) Tampering with Serial Number
7) Possession of Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
8) Possess Firearm while prohibited
9) Prowl by night

Ammar Tahir, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Possession for the Purpose Schedule I
2) Two counts of Possession for the Purpose Schedule II
3) Possession of Proceeds of Crime

Sewit Tadese, 26, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Weapons Dangerous
2) Unauthorized possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
3) Unauthorized possession of Firearm
4) Careless Storage of Firearm
5) Careless Storage of Ammunition
6) Carry Concealed Weapon

Garad Ali, 26, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Obstruct Peace Officer

The six men were scheduled to appear in court at College Park on Sunday, September 11, 2016. The girl was scheduled to appear in court at 311 Jarvis Street on Sunday, September 11, 2016.
