9-year-old girl encounters suspicious male in Winnipeg

The male pulled up along-side the girl as she was walking her dog and stated, "Come look at my dog."

Winnipeg PoliceWinnipeg, Manitoba – On September 7, 2016 at 6:55 p.m., a 9 year old girl was walking in the area of the 1100 block of Grant Avenue when she was approached by an unknown male in a vehicle.

The male pulled up along-side the girl as she was walking her dog and stated, "Come look at my dog."

The girl felt uncomfortable with the situation and ran home unharmed. She told her parents what occurred and police were notified.

The male is described as: being in his 30’s, dark complexion, dark hair, moustache, wearing a black nylon windbreaker.

The vehicle is described as: a red 4 door car, no hubcaps, silver and gold rims with rust around the outer edges. A large hockey bag with wheels was observed in the back seat.

A small brown and white dog was also observed inside the vehicle.
