East Hants RCMP investigates suspicious incident near the Enfield District Elementary School – RESOLVED

RCMP-1205Enfield, Nova Scotia – East Hants RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male and female who were acting suspiciously near the Enfield District Elementary School.

At approximately 8:50 a.m. today, a man was observed taking photographs from a wooded area nearby the school. His camera was pointed towards the school as children and school staff were arriving. When confronted by staff, he fled in a vehicle described as a newer model maroon or burgundy Toyota Corolla being driven by a middle-aged female.

The male has been described as approximately 60 years old, medium build, with short, receding grey hair and wearing grey shorts, a t-shirt and glasses.

The RCMP would like to speak with this couple. Investigators are asking anyone with information about their identity or this incident to contact the RCMP at 902 883-7077. Last evening East Hants RCMP asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a male and female who were near the Enfield District Elementary School yesterday morning.

The individuals have been identified. There is no risk to public safety and no charges are anticipated.
