Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – A 42 year old man is facing 25 firearm related charges following the execution of a high-risk search warrant at a home in the 1500 block of Victoria Avenue.
Members of the Tactical Support Unit and the Crisis Negotiation Team assisted with the warrant following an investigation by members of the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team and Guns and Gangs. Members responded to the home at approximately 8:40 p.m, September 13, 2016. After a short delay, two men exited the residence. A search by officers later located a woman hiding in the attic. Five firearms were also located including two loaded and three modified shotguns and rifles, along with $270 dollars in cash.
The 42 year old man was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, morphine and heroin and in breach of court conditions. A 24 year old woman was found to be wanted on 12 outstanding Criminal Code warrants out of Regina. A 41 year old man was released without charges.
The two accused are expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court this afternoon.
