Edmonton, AB: The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section is investigating after a man passed away in hospital today, after being located in critical condition early this morning.
At approximately 3:30 a.m., West Division patrol officers were called to assist EMS in the area of 154 Street and Stony Plain Road. When officers arrived they located a male, approximately 35 years of age, in medical distress with obvious signs of trauma. EMS treated and transported the male to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries this afternoon (Sept. 14, 2016).
Homicide investigators are treating the death as suspicious. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning at 9 a.m..
