Saskatoon Car Prowlers Arrested Following Call to Police, Suspect Carrying Concealed Weapon

SASKATOONSaskatoon, Saskatchewan – Two men, age 26 and 24, are facing charges following a report of suspicious activity last night.


Police received a report at approximately 10:20 p.m., September 13, 2016, that two men were entering parked vehicles in the 100 block of Poplar Crescent. Officers arrived and spotted two men carrying duffel bags and riding bicycles. The men attempted to flee the scene. A foot chase ensued and one suspect was taken into custody. Stolen property and an axe were located. A short time later additional officers located the second suspect nearby.

A 26 year old man is now facing charges of Breach of Undertaking x2, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of Stolen Property. A 24 year old man is facing charges of Breach of Undertaking x3, Obstructing a Peace Officer, and Mischief.
