Three Additional Medicine Hat Residents Charged with Drug Related Offences

Medicine Hat, AB: Three additional Medicine Hat residents are facing charges following an investigation conducted by the Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit.


On September 15, 2016, after a three-week investigation, police arrested and charged three individuals for drug trafficking related offences. The arrest of the accused’s and the subsequent search of a property on Balmoral Street SE resulted in the seizure of; 23 grams of methamphetamine, 52 grams of cocaine, 92 grams of marihuana,9 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and $2800 in cash. $14,000 in drugs and cash in total.

As a result of the search of the property a large amount of stolen property was also discovered. The Medicine Hat Police Service Priority Street Crimes are currently investigating and further property related charges are pending.

Resulting from this investigation, 33-year-old, Kevin Rabeau, 28 year old, Melissa Artemenko, and 33-year-old, Bradly Pletz, all of Medicine Hat, AB are facing a total of 16 criminal code and drug trafficking related charges.

All three accused are currently in custody being held for bail hearings.
