Regina, Saskatchewan – A 31 year-old male, who was the subject of a Canada Wide Warrant on two charges of Attempted Murder, has been arrested. The male was wanted in connection to the shooting incident that occurred at a nightclub on the 600 block of Victoria Avenue E on April 29, 2016, that left two males in hospital.
As the result of continued investigation into this event, police attended a residence in the 100 block of Toronto Street residence at approximately 2:40 a.m. this morning (September 15th). The 31 year-old male was arrested without incident.
Thirty-one year old Omar Abdi Hakim HAJI-HUSSEIN is charged with:
• Attempt to Commit Murder Using Restricted Firearm [CC 239(1)(A)] x 2
• Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)]
• Failure to Comply with Recognizance [CC 145(3)]
HAJI-HUSSEIN makes his first appearance in Provincial Court today, September 15, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
