Wanted Man Arrested for Prince George Stabbing

RCMP-1205Prince George, BC: A man wanted for a violent attack that sent another man to hospital with stab wounds earlier this month has turned himself in to police.


prince-george-stabbingOn Thursday September 15th, 2016 at approximately 1:30 PM, Kyle Anthony GARNOT attended the Prince George RCMP and turned himself in. He was arrested and will be held for court tomorrow.

The Prince George RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.


On Thursday September 1st, 2016 at approximately 6:50 PM, the Prince George RCMP located a distressed adult male near the corner of Victoria Street and 9th Avenue in Prince George. Officers believed that man had been stabbed and began first aid.

The BC Ambulance Service and Prince George Fire Rescue were called to the scene. The man was transported to the University Hospital of Northern BC where he was treated for life-threatening injuries. The victim is expected to survive.

A Criminal Code charge of Aggravated Assault has been approved by Provincial Crown Counsel for 32 year old Kyle Anthony GARNOT of Prince George.
