Wanted for Firing Gun Inside Mall, Liban MUSSE, ARRESTED in Calgary

Grande Prairie, Alberta – Grande Prairie RCMP would like to advise that Liban Musse has been located and is now in police custody.

Investigation by the Grande Prairie RCMP revealed that Mussewas in the Calgary area. Calgary Police Service was contacted to assist and located Musse at a hotel in the north west area of Calgary. He was arrested on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at approximately 1:30 AM.

Musse will appear in court in Grande Prairie on September 26, 2016.

BACKGROUND

Grande Prairie, Alberta – Grande Prairie RCMP are searching for 23-year-old, Liban MUSSE, who is wanted on an Alberta-wide warrant of arrest for six charges including:

• Reckless discharge of a firearm
• Discharge a firearm with intent
• Possess a weapon dangerous to the public
• Carry a concealed weapon
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm

• Possession of restricted firearm with ammunition

RCMP have been searching for MUSSE following an incident that occurred at Prairie Mall on Thursday, September 15, 2016. A single shot was fired, resulting in injuries to three people.

Liban MUSSE is described as:

• Black, male
• 175 cm (5’9”) tall
• Weighs aapproximately 65 kg (143 lbs)
• Short, dark black hair
• Brown eyes

Police consider MUSSE to be armed and dangerous and ask that citizens do not approach him. If he is located, please contact RCMP or your local police.
