Man, 31, charged with Assaults on two TTC bus drivers and one police officer

toronto_police_service_logoToronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service has arrested and charged a man for Assaulting two TTC bus drivers and a police officer.


It is alleged that:

– on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at 5:30 p.m., a TTC bus driver was assaulted by a male passenger in the Ossington Avenue and Dupont Street area

– the man then exited that bus and boarded a second TTC bus at the same intersection

– the same man assaulted the driver of the second bus

– the man fled, and boarded a third bus a short distance away, where he was located by police officers responding to the call

– the man then threatened and assaulted one of the police officers

Jesse Armitage, 31, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

1) Assault
2) Assault with a weapon
3) Assault Cause Bodily Harm
4) Assault Peace officer
5) Uttering threats
6) Mischief Under
7) Fail to Comply with Probation order

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday, September 19, 2016, courtroom 101.
