Car Vs Pedestrian Traffic Collision Results With Broken Legs

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – On Wednesday 21st September 2016 at 8:40pm, Saskatoon Police Service were called to attend to the 1800 block of 22nd Street West on the report of a traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian.


Upon police arrival it was determined that an intoxicated male wearing dark clothing had illegal crossed the road, walking south bound, mid block in the 1800 block of 22nd Street West into the path of a east bound car which subsequently struck him.

This male sustained two broken legs as a result of the collision and was transported to hospital. The pedestrian was subsequently issued a ticket under the Traffic Safety Act for “Pedestrian walk into the path of a vehicle when unsafe”.
