Photo and Video Released From Calgary Arson Investigation

Calgary, Alberta – The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance for information related to an arson that occurred in the southeast community of Ogden earlier this month.


On Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at approximately 5:15 a.m., two unknown culprits set fire to a 1977 Pontiac Firebird parked in the driveway of a home in the 7600 block of 25 Street S.E.

Police obtained CCTV footage from a neighbouring residence that shows two males fleeing the area southbound on foot towards two parked vehicles on 78 Avenue S.E.

The suspects are described as males, in their 20s, with slim builds. Both were wearing hoodies and dark pants.

The video shows that the left arm of one of the suspects is on fire. It is believed he would have burned his clothing and sustained burns to his left arm. He may have singed the hair on the side of his head and face and may also have burns on his face and hands.
