Child Rushed to Hospital After Finding Prescription Pills in Toronto Park

Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service would like to warn the public about a quantity of prescription pills located.


It is reported that:

– on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 12:15 p.m., prescription pills were left on top of a playground slide in Bellevue Square Park, in the Kensington Market area

– a child playing in the park came in contact with the pills

– the child had to be rushed to hospital for treatment

– officers responded to the call and located a number of the same pills scattered around the park

Parents are reminded to use caution when in the park area.

The public is also reminded to call police if any potentially dangerous item is located in parks or public areas.
