Toronto Homicide #51 for 2016 Identified, Suspect Arrested in Halifax

Toronto, Ontario – On Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 2:39 p.m., police attended an address in the Davenport Road and Old Weston Road area, where a man was located deceased.

Investigators identified Anthony Brake, 46, of Toronto, as being wanted for Second-Degree Murder.

BACKGROUND:

On Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 1:30 a.m., Anthony Brake was arrested by officers from the Halifax Police Service in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Investigators from the Toronto Police Service will return him to Toronto.

Anthony Brake, 46, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) Second-Degree Murder

He is scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Thursday, September 29, 2016, 10 a.m., room 101.

The victim has now been identified as David Brenner, 47, of Toronto.
