Theft of Meat From High River Grocery Store

High River, Alberta – On Saturday, September 17, 2016, at approximately 3:20 pm, a male entered the Co-op grocery store in High River. The male proceeded to fill the shopping cart with approximately $500 worth of meat products. The male then opened a box of black garbage bags and put all the meat into one of the bags. The male exited the store with the meat and left on a silver and red bicycle.


On Sunday, September 18, 2016, at approximately 10:45 am, the same male again came into the Co-op and attempted to steal over $600 worth of meat and seafood. Co-op staff recognized the male from the previous day and the male abandoned the cart full of meat inside the store and again fled on the same bicycle as the previous day. The male and the bicycle are pictured in the video surveillance photographs attached.

theft-of-meat-from-high-river-grocery-storeThe male appears to be 50-65 years old, with shoulder length gray/blond hair, with a slim build, approximately 5’9″ – 6’0″ tall. If anyone recognizes the male shown, or has any information regarding these crimes, please contact the High River RCMP.
