Calgary Police Believe Wanted Man is Still in Calgary


Calgary, Alberta – The Calgary Police Service is asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted on warrants in connection with multiple commercial armed robberies that occurred in June and August.


Between Sunday, June 12, 2016, and Wednesday, August 24, 2016, a man entered six different stores including pet stores, M & M Meat Shops and a convenience store. In each case, it is believed that he approached the store clerk with an item from the store and when he reached the till, told the clerk to hand over the money in the till after producing a small knife, switch-blade or in one case, a machete.

Daniel LOVEYS, 27, of Calgary, is wanted on warrants in connection with these incidents. He is charged with 22 offences, including multiple counts of robbery and various weapons offences.


LOVEYS is described as Caucasian, between 5’10” and 6’ tall, with a slim build, brown eyes, dark front teeth and glasses. It is believed that he has recently shaved his head so may have dark hair that is just starting to grow back and stubble on his face.

It is believed that LOVEYS is still in Calgary, however his exact whereabouts are unknown.
