Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police continue to investigate the assault of a 25-year-old woman and are asking anyone who may have information to come forward.
On the morning of Sept. 30, 2016 EMS and police responded to a report of an injured woman along the 2000 block of 6 Avenue South. The woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries. She remains in hospital in critical but stable condition.
Investigation has determined the 25-year-old was walking eastbound along 6 Avenue South between 6 and 7 a.m. when she was attacked. Police are asking anyone who may have seen a woman, any other persons or any suspicious activity along 6 Avenue South between 13 Street and Mayor Magrath Drive during that time frame, to call 403-328-4444.
At this time it is unknown if this was a random or targeted assault.
The investigation is ongoing and police will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.
Investigation ongoing after an injured woman was found this morning
Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police continue to investigate after an injured woman was found this morning along the 2100 block of 6 Avenue South and transported to hospital.
Police are currently conducting a neighbourhood canvas in the area and Lethbridge Search and Rescue is assisting with a ground search for any evidence or property that may be associated to the incident.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about this incident or anyone in the area who has a security camera, to contact police at 403-328-4444.
