CDSA Search Warrants yield over $400,000 in Drugs & Cash Combined

London, Ontario – On Wednesday September 28, 2016 members of the Guns and Drugs Section, executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at residences on Purser Street, Highbury Avenue, Huron Street and York Street.

The following drugs were seized from the combined residences:

– 11,658 grams of marihuana, value: $116,580

– 34 marihuana plants, value: $34,000

– 436 grams of hash, value: $8,720

– THC Infused Edibles(soda pop, gummy bears, drink mix crystals, tea), value: $2,900

– 129 grams of Cocaine, value: $12,900

– 586 grams of MDMA, value: $29,300

– 623 grams of Ketamine, value: $31,150

– 3,855 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, value: $38,550

– 570 vials of shatter oil, value: $5,700

– 28 TEC’S, value: $140

– 25 Hydromorphone 30mg’s, value: $1,900

TOTAL DRUGS SEIZED: $282,900

Also seized:

– 2009 Honda Civic, value $6,000

– Conducted Energy Weapon (Taser)

– 6 rounds of .45 calibre ammunition

– $125,000 in Canadian Currency

The following individuals are charged in relation to this investigation:

cdsa-search-warrant-2Jason Carpenter (37 years) of London:

– Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, contrary to section 249(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

– Resist arrest, contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada;

– Possess a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (3 counts);

– Possess a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (4 counts);

– Possess a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and

– Possess property obtained by crime, contrary to section 354(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Ashraf Asimi (39 years) of London and Dave Hylton (40 years), of Kitchener, are charged jointly with:

– Possess a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (3 counts each);

– Possess a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (3 counts each); and

– Possess a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Shane Cline (36 years) and Laycee Bowman (31 years), both of London, are charged jointly with:

– Possess a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (2 counts each);

– Possess a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (2 counts each);

– Possess a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and

– Possess a prohibited weapon, contrary to section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada .

cdsa-search-warrant-1Daniel Riordon (25 years) of London, is charged with:

– Possess a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act x2;

– Possess a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act x2; and

– Possess a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
