Saskatoon Police Officer Injured During Arrest

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – On 30 September 2016 at 7:35pm, Saskatoon Police Service attended to a residence in the 700 block of Confederation Drive on the report of a domestic incident that was occurring. After officers arrived they attempted to arrest the male, who was causing problems at the residence, but he fled on foot.

During the foot chase one of the officers was injured but was still able to arrest the fleeing suspect.

The 32 year old male is being held in police custody until he appears in front of a Justice of the peace on Saturday 1 October 2016. He is charged with Breaching the conditions on his Undertaking along with outstanding criminal code warrants from Buffalo Narrows RCMP.

The Saskatoon Police officer is currently off work with a suspected sprained ankle.
