Toronto Police Investigate Homicide #53 for 2016

Toronto, Ontario – On Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 2:42 a.m., officers from 23 Division responded to a see ambulance call at BTI Cartage, 325 Humber College Boulevard.


Upon arrival, officers located a man with apparent gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced at the scene.

The man has been identified as Maninder Singh Sandhu, 31, of Brampton.

23 Division detectives attended the scene, along with Forensic Identification Officers, and started the investigation.

Toronto Police Service Homicide was notified and has assumed control of the investigation.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for this afternoon.

A canvass of the area is being conducted with the assistance of 23 Division officers. Several security cameras have been located and are being reviewed.
