Two males found dead in car on College Avenue in Winnipeg – UPDATED

Winnipeg, Manitoba – On October 3, 2016 at approximately 10:35 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of the 300 block of College Avenue regarding the occupants of a parked vehicle, possibly requiring medical assistance.

Officers, working in conjunction with the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Hazmat team, confirmed that the occupants were deceased. A plan was put in place to mitigate and contain any potential risk to the public and first responders.

At this time, investigators have confirmed the identity of the deceased; a 27 year old male and 35 year old male.

The investigation has revealed that the occupants had been deceased for a period of time and the cause of death, although unconfirmed, may involve drug use.

Further analysis of the vehicle and results of an autopsy are still pending.

Members of the Clandestine Team, Identification Unit and Medical Examiner continue to investigate.
