Richibucto RCMP seek suspects in attempted break and enter, and vehicle arson

Harcourt, New Brunswick – The Richibucto RCMP is investigating an attempted break and enter and subsequent vehicle arson.


On the morning of October 3, 2016, police responded to an alarm at Harry’s Variety store located on Route 126, in Harcourt, N.B.

Two people wearing masks attempted to gain entry to the store, but were scared off by the alarm. A grey 2003 Geo Tracker with New Brunswick licence plate number GIP 953 was observed in the area by police responding to the alarm. The driver refused to stop for police and fled.

The vehicle was found burned in Moncton a few hours later, and was determined to have been stolen from the Dieppe area on September 13.
