Outdoor marihuana grow operation dismantled

St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador – Ferryland RCMP are investigating yesterday’s discovery of 95 marihuana plants near LaManche on the southern shore.

Police were alerted to the outdoor grow operation by officers of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement.

RCMP attended the location and seized the plants as well as various pieces of equipment used to cultivate and harvest the plants.

This is the third outdoor grow operation that has been dismantled by the RCMP on the eastern Avalon in just over a week, resulting in the seizure of 249 mature marihuana plants.
