London, Ontario – The London Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is investigating an incident where a woman was touched inappropriately by a male on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
At approximately 7:30am, the woman was walking southbound on Adelaide Street North and Princess Avenue when she observed a male in a motorized wheelchair following her. The male made utterances to her about her appearance and continued to follow her as she walked southbound. In the area of Adelaide Street North and Nelson Street the male reached out and touched the woman inappropriately. She pulled away and turned to confront the male at which time he attempted to grab her again. He fled in his wheelchair after trying to conceal his face when the woman told him she was going to take his picture and report the matter to police. The woman was not injured during the assault.
The suspect is described as white, in his 30’s, approximately 5’3” to 5’6” tall with a thin build, dark curly hair, full beard, and a high pitched voice. The male is believed to be a smoker. He was wearing a black jacket and riding in a black and blue motorized wheelchair.
