Oak Point, New Brunswick – A two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 near Oak Point, N.B. has claimed the life of a 50-year-old man from Neguac.
Neguac RCMP responded to a head-on collision, at approximately 8:30 a.m. on October 7, 2016, involving a transport truck and pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck, the only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene as the result of his injuries. The driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be serious.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting in the investigation. Traffic in the area can expect possible delays and a detour along Highway 8. Local residents will be permitted to use the road to access their residences.
The investigation is continuing.
