Police Joint Forces Operations make a number of arrests related to recent thefts

Prince County, Prince Edward Island – Prince District RCMP recently made arrests and seized a quantity of stolen property related to break and enters and thefts in a rash of crimes which were reported from mid-August until the end of September of this year.


On September 30th, Prince District Joint Forces Operations (JFO) which consists of members of the RCMP, Summerside Police Service and RCMP Police Dog Services executed a search warrant on a residence in O’Leary and seized stolen property and arrested two people.

On October 4th, Prince District JFO and RCMP Police Dog Service executed another warrant on a property in Central Lot 16 and arrested three people and seized more stolen property. These items include a 29-foot travel trailer, a 2005 Chev pickup truck, a heavy utility trailer and lumber, various tools, a ride-on lawn mower, a welding generator, and refrigerator. A marihuana grow operation was found inside the travel trailer and large marihuana plants were found outside on the property.

Two Prince County men are in custody related to these occurrences, and the RCMP continues to investigate.
