Firearm Discharge Investigation in London

London, Ontario – On October 9, 2016 at 3:47am the London Police received multiple calls regarding the sound of two or three loud noises that sounded like a gunshots in the 200 block area of Marconi Boulevard. There were reports of a group of people that had congregated in this area just prior to the suspected gunshots. Upon police arrival moments later, no persons were present. A search of the area by police uncovered broken basement window was observed at a residence where the group of persons had been standing. It was determined that this window was broken by at least one gunshot. No persons were hit or injured as a result of this firearm discharge.


From witnesses in the area, the descriptions of two suspects believed to have been involved in discharging the firearm have been obtained. Suspect #1 is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, short hair, goatee, dark baseball cap, black and red sweater and dark blue jeans. Suspect #2 is described as a white male wearing a baseball cap, black and red sweater with a logo on the front, black track pants and white shoes. Information at this point is that they left the area in a dark colored vehicle prior to police arrival.

The London Police Major Crime Section has taken over the lead of this investigation. It is in the beginning stages and no further information is available to be released to the public at this time. Further suspect or vehicle descriptions will be released if obtained throughout the course of gathering information and evidence.
