Three Arrested in Saskatoon Fentanyl Trafficking Investigation

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – An investigation by members of the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST) into fentanyl trafficking has resulted in the arrest of three men and the seizure of fentanyl pills and cash.


On October 7, 2016, investigators witnessed what is believed to a drug transaction take place behind a business in the 1600 block of 20th Street West. Two Saskatoon men ages 25 and 26 were arrested. The men were found with both cash and fentanyl pills.

A search warrant was subsequently executed at a home in the 2000 block of Wilson Crescent. Inside investigators located more than $5200 in cash and drug “score sheets”. A 52 year old man was arrested at the scene.

In total investigators seized 21 fentanyl pills and more than $8300 in cash.

The three men are facing charges including; Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime.
