Male kidnapped at gunpoint in the town of Stony Plain

Stony Plain Alberta -On Saturday October 8th, 2016 at approximately 5:40 AM the Stony Plain/ Spruce Grove/Enoch RCMP received a call from Edmonton Police Service advising they have a male at South Division reporting that he was kidnapped early that morning in the town of Stony Plain. The victim advised that at approximately 4:30 AM that morning, he left a friend’s apartment in Stony Plain and was getting into his vehicle when he was kidnapped at gunpoint by 4 males. His hands and mouth were duct taped and he was placed in the back seat of a gold colored Ford Escape. The victim was driven to a south Edmonton condominium complex where he managed to escape.


The male victim was not injured.

Joshua Lark, age 26 of Stony Plain has been charged with Kidnapping while using a firearm, Forcible confinement, and Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Lark had been remanded into custody and will appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on October 19, 2016.

It is believed that Lark and the victim are known to each other.
