Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service would like to update the public on an arrest in an ongoing Fraud investigation.
On Tuesday, October 11, 2016, Zeev Shaban, 53, of Thornhill, was arrested. He has been charged with:
1) Fraud Exceeding $5000
2) Utter Forged Document
3) Obtain by False Pretence Exceeding $5000
4) Possess Property Obtained by Crime Exceeding $5000
5) Fail to Comply With Undertaking

He was scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, courtroom 306.
The Toronto Police Service would like to ask anyone who has purchased or had dealings with this man to contact them. Police believe these diamonds may have been purchased by a jeweler or reseller not knowing they were stolen. They may be an innocent third party.
