Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Prince Albert Police Service is reporting a steady weekend responding to 212 calls for service between Friday evening and Monday morning. There were 36 people arrested with 13 being arrested for being intoxicated in public. The calls Patrol responded to the most were intoxicated persons (27) and evictions (11). There were nine people remanded over the weekend and they will be making their first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning.

On October 15, 2016 at approximately 3 a.m. officers responded to a complaint of a robbery which occurred in the 800 Block of 7th Street East. The victim told officers that he had just driven home and while exiting his vehicle an unknown male and female with their faces covered threatened him with a firearm and forced him back into his vehicle. The unknown suspects drove the victim and his vehicle west of the city where the victim was forced out of his vehicle. The unknown suspects left with the victim’s vehicle. The victim did not suffer any injuries.
On October 17, 2016 at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers observed the victim’s stolen vehicle being driven in the 1200 Block of 28th Street East and performed an emergency vehicle stop. One male and two females have been arrested and charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000 All three suspects will have made their first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning. A 37 year old man was transported to the hospital Sunday morning with a gunshot wound.
On October 16, 2016 at approximately 6:15 a.m. police responded to a residence in the 2700 Block of 1st Avenue East for a complaint that a male had been beat up and shot. On arrival police located the 37 year old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

On October 17, 2016 at approximately 1:30 am, police responded to a male cab driver who had been robbed at gunpoint in the 600 Block of Branion Drive. A lone male suspect fled the taxi on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim did not suffer any injuries. A BB Gun was recovered which was determined to be used during the robbery.
Patrol officers as well as a K9 officer attended the area and located a 22 year old Prince Albert man who was taken into custody and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Robbery, Using an Imitation Firearm, Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited and Uttering a Death Threat. The suspect will have made his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning. (Info # 36863966)
