Thieves Make off with $10,000 in Tuna Fishing Gear

North Lake, Prince Edward Island – Souris RCMP are investigating the theft of a number of tuna fishing rodd’s and reels.


Sometime between the hours of 11:00 a.m. on October 13, 2016 and 12:00 p.m. on October 14, 2016, a unknown suspect(s) stole 5 tuna fishing rodd’s from a fishing boat stationed at the North Lake Wharf.

The brand names of the fishing rodd’s taken are 3 Penn rodd and Reels, a Shimano rodd and reel, and a Kite rodd and reel. The value of the items taken is approximately $10,000.
