Red Deer, Alberta – Red Deer RCMP have been busy the past two days locating and arresting a number of people who were wanted on numerous outstanding warrants.
Shortly after 3:30 pm on October 18, RCMP located a suspicious vehicle in a residential parking lot and arrested 27 year old Debra Lynn Pidhirney and 34 year old Francois Joseph Alexander, both of whom were wanted on warrants. Pidhirney was wanted on 18 warrants including multiple charges for possession of stolen property and failing to comply with conditions, assault with a weapon and several weapons charges; she was further found to be breaching two court-imposed conditions at the time of her arrest. She will appear in court in Red Deer on November 4 at 8:30 am. Alexander was wanted on three warrants for possession of stolen property, failing to comply with conditions and fraud; he will appear in court in Red Deer on October 21 at 9:30 am.
Just before 5 pm on October 18, Red Deer RCMP located and arrested 24 year old Todd Kenneth Deschambeault, who was wanted on four warrants for failing to comply with court-ordered conditions. Deschambeault has been remanded and will appear in court in Red Deer on October 28.
October 19 at 1 am, RCMP located a suspicious vehicle in a hotel parking lot and subsequently arrested 34 year old Darren Christopher Ray. Ray was wanted on 15 warrants out of Blackfalds, Red Deer and Innisfail for charges including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking (5), possession of stolen property (4), unauthorized possession of a firearm, resist/ obstruct police, failing to attend court and failing to comply with conditions (3). Ray now faces an additional Criminal Code charge (145.3) for breaching court-imposed conditions. Ray appears in court in Red Deer this morning, October 20, at 9:30 am.
“As part of our Project Pinpoint initiative, we continue to aggressively focus on prolific offenders who continue to engage in criminal behaviour,” says Inspector Gerald Grobmeier of the Red Deer RCMP. “We’re checking to ensure they’re complying with conditions that have been imposed on them by the courts, and we’re putting them back in jail when they refuse to do so.”
