Saskatoon Homicide Victim Identified

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Following an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Coroner of Saskatchewan, and consent from the family, the Saskatoon Police Service is able to release the identity of the victim and cause of death in the city’s latest homicide investigation.

Dylan Edward Robert Phillips, DOB 1990-Feb-28, was found to have died as the result of a gunshot wound.

At approximately 10:50 p.m., October 14, 2016, Saskatoon Police responded to a report of an injured man. The man was located inside his residence in the 1400 block of Avenue G North and was thought to have been the victim of an assault. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Detectives with the Major Crime Unit continue to investigate.
