Barrie, Ontario – The Barrie Police has recently received video surveillance and are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect responsible for purchasing a side-by-side Polaris UTV with a fraudulent credit card at a local Polaris dealer in Barrie on Monday, August, 8, 2016.
The suspect had the UTV scheduled to be delivered to an address in Lake Joseph and at the last minute had the delivery redirected to an address in North York. The suspect was present for the delivery and had the UTV off loaded into a 5 ton GMC panel truck by four younger males. The suspect had been observed driving a ’99 white Chrysler Town and Country van.
The Polaris dealer became aware of the fraudulent purchase upon being contacted by the credit card company.
The investigation is ongoing.
The suspect is described as;
Eastern European accent
Approx. 60 yrs.
Grey short hair
