Kings District RCMP arrest 15 year-old male for multiple thefts and Break and Enter

Montague, Prince Edward Island – On October 25, 2016 Kings District RCMP arrested a 15 year-old male from Cornwall, while responding to a complaint of suspicious persons in Montague. Continuing investigation linked the youth to several thefts from vehicles in Montague and a recent break and enter into a residence in Mount Stewart.

The youth was held in RCMP custody in Montague while the investigation continued throughout the day.

He is facing several multiple theft related charges including break and enter into a residence after police recovered a large quantity of stolen goods and will appear in Georgetown court at a later date.

Some, but not all, of the recovered property has been identified by the owner and police are asking the public to contact them if they are missing items from their homes or vehicles overnight.

Homeowners, and vehicle owners, are reminded to lock their houses and vehicles when unattended ….and to not leave items in plain view that may tempt a thief.
