Male brandishes knife, threatens employees at a work site south of the Edmonton

Leduc Alberta – On October 26, 2016 Leduc RCMP, with the assistance of the Leduc Integrated Traffic Unit and Airport RCMP members, responded to a call of a male brandishing a knife, threatening employees at a work site south of the Edmonton International Airport.

The individual was apprehended without incident and subsequently charged with two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and two counts of Assault with a Weapon.

There were no injuries suffered by the victim or accused during this incident. The 26 year old male is scheduled to appear in Leduc Provincial Court December 15, 2016.

The matter is still under investigation.
