RCMP Investigate Tainted Halloween Candy Posted on Social Media

Prince Rupert, BC: On November 1st, 2016 the Prince Rupert RCMP were made aware that a member of the public posted a picture on Social Media showing a piece of candy with a needle embedded in it. The RCMP has spoken to the individual who made the post and have seized the candy for further examination. Though the investigation is in the early stages the RCMP would like to remind the public to ensure any candy in their possession is thoroughly examined.

If anyone has any information with regards to their children’s candy being tainted they are asked to call the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250-627-0700 or Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
