24-year-Old Male Charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon in Prince Albert

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – Prince Albert Police Service arrested one 24-year-old male early yesterday morning for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and two counts of drug charges.

At approximately 12:37 a.m. officers were dispatched to a residence on the 500 Block of 12 Street East that reported a break-and-enter in progress.

Patrol Officers responded to confirm no entry had been gained to the residence and the unknown persons had fled. K-9 Unit Police Service Dog Febee located the 24-year-old-male in a nearby vehicle. The male was arrested for having a large knife concealed on their person and a subsequent search revealed they were in possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. The 24-year-old male is charged with one Possession of a Controlled Substance of Methamphetamine one charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance of Cocaine and one Charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon.

This is not believed to be a random act.

After the investigation is complete the male will make his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court (Info # 43724007).
