Two men charged with attempted robbery

Long Creek, New Brunswick – Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted robbery at a convenience and grocery store in Long Creek, N.B., near Sussex.

On the afternoon of the November 4, 2016, a masked man entered Connell’s Grocery located on Highway 10, armed with a weapon. Nothing was taken and the suspect fled in a vehicle driven by a second individual, after being confronted by the store owner.

On November 5, police arrested two men in connection with the incident.

Thirty-three-year old Laurie Randall Delong and 25-year-old Bradley Dennis McCully, both of Parkindale, N.B., have each been charged with attempted robbery and having their face concealed during the commission of an offence. They were both remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in Saint John Provincial Court on November 10, 2016, for a bail hearing.
