Fort McMurray, Alberta – On November 5th, 2016, Wood Buffalo responded to a complaint of a stolen truck which occurred either the night of November 4th or early in the morning on November 5th. Subsequently, two “gas and dashes” were reported to have occurred on November 5th with a vehicle that matched the description of the stolen truck.
The owner of the truck reported it missing from Brachett Cres. The theft would have occurred overnight on the 4th, as it was noticed to be missing on November 5th.
The truck is described as:
• 2013 Ford F350
• Dark tint on the windows
• Six inch lift
• No front or rear bumper
• Alberta shaped “Fort McMurray Strong” sticker on the rear window, passenger side.
• Spare tire visible underneath the rear of the truck
Two gas and dashes were reported to have occurred with the stolen truck. The first occurred on November 5th, 2016 at approximately 9:30pm, at the shell on MacKenzie Blvd. $96.00 of diesel was stolen. The second occurred on November 6th at approximately 3:45pm, at the Shell on Franklin Ave. $79.00 of diesel was stolen. A suspect was identified on video at the gas stations.
The driver is described as being:
• 25-30 years old
• Wearing a black toque
• The suspect is wearing all black in one photo, and a red blue jays shirt in another.
