Attempted Robbery at Cold Lake Drug Store

Cold Lake, Alberta – On November 5, 2016, at approximately 9:50 a.m. an unknown male believed to be in his 20’s walked into IDA Pharmacy on 50 Avenue in Cold Lake, armed with a hatchet and demanded narcotics. In the end, the suspect fled the Pharmacy without any narcotics. An employee of the pharmacy was assaulted but not injured.

The suspect is described as:

• Caucasian male In his early to mid 20’s.
• 5’5″ to 5’8″ tall.
• Weighing approximately 180 pounds.
• Wearing a blue hooded sweater, blue jeans and a black ski mask over his face.
• Wearing sunglass and carrying a black duffle bag.

RCMP are asking anyone who can identify the suspect, and/or has information about this attempted robbery, or may have seen this male walking downtown on November 5, 2016, to call Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302.
