Wood Buffalo RCMP Investigate Firearm Discharge in a Residence

Fort McMurray, Alberta – At approximately 11:00 pm on November 13th, 2016, Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a report of a firearm discharge, in a residence located in Fort MacKay.

A female reported that an unknown man forced his way into her residence, and discharged a firearm. The male then fled from the residence. There are no reported injuries. RCMP believe that this was a targeted attack, and that there is no safety risk to the public.

The description of the man is as follows:

• 5’9″ – 6′ tall, and slim build
• Light green eyes
• Caucasian with his face painted black
• Black gloves and boots
• Orange cover-alls with reflective stripes running vertical from the waist to the neck.

If you see anyone matching this description, please do not approach, and contact the police immediately.
