Five arrested in connection with assault on teenage girl

Campbellton, New Brunswick – Four teenage girls and one 19-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with a violent incident that occurred on Ramsay Street in Campbellton, N.B., on November 12. The incident was recorded on video by a witness.

Police responded to the scene of the incident at approximately 8:30 p.m. A teenage girl had been assaulted and sustained injuries, however she did not require emergency medical treatment.

On November 13, police arrested four teenage girls and one woman in connection with the incident. They were later released on conditions and promises to appear in court to face related charges. A court date of April 3, 2017, has been set for the four teenage girls. The woman’s court date has not yet been set.
