Kings District RCMP thank neighbours and Murray River Fire Department stopping fire progress

Peters Road, Prince Edward Island – Kings District RCMP are applauding a vigilant neighbour and quick action by the Murray River Fire Department for preventing the spread of a garage fire to the main house on the property.

On Monday, November 14, 2016 at 6:15 p.m., Kings District RCMP attended the scene of a garage fire on Route 324 in Peters Road, PEI.

The fire had been reported by a vigilant neighbour and the Murray River Fire Department was quick to arrive on scene to extinguish the fire. The quick report and response likely saved the owners home next to the garage which was totally destroyed by the fire. There was some damage to the exterior of the home, but damage was kept to a minimum thanks to efforts by firefighters.
