14-Year-Old Girl Bites Brandon Police Officer During Arrest

Brandon, Manitoba – At 9:30 pm on Thursday evening, officers responded to a report of a female causing a disturbance in the area of 9th St and Victoria Ave.

Witnesses reported she was observed running down the street and was bleeding. She also attempted to rip Christmas decorations off a house.

Officers located the female and she was observed to be under the influence of a drug. As the officers attempted to control her, she bit one of the responding officers in the leg. The female continued to fight with officers and was restrained. She was transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries that she received in an altercation with another female before police arrived. The officer was also treated at BRHC and released.

A 14 year old female youth from Boresford, Manitoba was arrested for Assaulting a Peace Officer and Breach of Probation.
